The project is along Boulder Creek. The Howell Ditch diverts from Boulder Cr. and currently serves as a feeder ditch. Now, a temporary push-up dam on Boulder Cr. diverts water into a bypass channel which leads to the Howell Ditch diversion structure. The push-up dam requires annual maintenance/repair and the Howell Ditch diversion structure needs reconstruction. the grant replaces the seasonally constructed temporary push-up dam with a permanent diversion structure.
