Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (ECMHC) is a prevention-based approach that pairs an early childhood mental health consultant with adults who work with infants and young children in the different settings where they learn and grow. ECMH consultants shall use reflective practice to equip caregivers with the skills needed to support children's positive mental health and social and emotional development.
